Schools are the cornerstones of neighborhoods and a vital resource within the community.
 
Maximizing utilization of schools as a community resource is cost effective.

Management of community use of school facilities is a highly visible function of the district and is often the
only contact taxpayers may have with the district.  Facility users are important stakeholders.

Effective management of community use of school facilities intentionally seeks to balance the
needs of the community with the needs of the school system.

An accountable and responsible facility use system builds positive, long-term partnerships, improves
the quality of life for residents and is essential to the civic infrastructure within the community.
