Engaging, self-paced summer learning for kids in grades K–5

Looking for a fun and flexible way to keep your child learning over the summer?

CAHOOTS Summer Learning Workbooks combine math, language arts, and creative thinking into one self-led program your child can enjoy at their own pace. Each workbook includes fun activities guided by playful characters, reflection prompts, and a pen-pal style exchange with a “reflection buddy” to keep kids engaged.

Looking for fun and flexible plans this summer? Our half-day enrichment camps offer something for everyone—from science and sports to music, dance, art, and more! With both morning and afternoon options, families can mix and match camps to build a schedule that fits their needs.

Programs are available for preschoolers through 9th grade, with locations across the district and engaging experiences for all interests and skill levels. Whether your child wants to try something new or dive deeper into a favorite activity, there’s a camp for them.

Female Only Open Swim

Female-only open swim is a time for women to swim in a comfortable environment, with female lifeguards and staff. All ages are welcome*, children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Isolated Power Outages

UPDATE at 8:35 a.m.: Power has been restored to Forest Elementary and FAIR School Crystal. 

Three of our buildings are currently experiencing power outages—Forest Elementary, FAIR School Crystal, and Crystal Learning Center, which houses the Robbinsdale Transition Center. Most of our schools have backup generators, which are running and providing basic power.

2025 Spring Powwow

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Indian Education Program is hosting our annual spring powwow on May 10. All members of the community are invited to attend this free event and experience singing, dancing, drumming, and other honored traditions.

K-5 ELA Materials Adoption Vendor Fair

Families and staff across the district are invited to attend the upcoming K–5 English Language Arts materials adoption vendor fair, scheduled for Friday, May 2, at Sandburg Middle School. The fair, taking place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., will provide an opportunity for attendees to preview and evaluate two ELA curriculum options, which include Wit & Wisdom and EL Education.
