Vision 2030 Team Finalizes Draft Recommendations

On Sept. 9, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team held its eleventh and final meeting at the Education Service Center (ESC). The evening marked a milestone in the team’s eight months of collaboration, as members worked to finalize academic and facilities recommendations that will help shape the future of Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale).

Academic Vision and Learner Portrait

Team members reviewed draft academic vision recommendations by aligning 12 statement recommendations with district strategic pillars. The group also discussed the Portrait of a Robbinsdale Learner and Graduate, affirming the importance of defining skills and attributes that will prepare students for success beyond graduation.

Finalizing Recommendations

Over dinner and working sessions, the team carefully reviewed the draft Vision 2030 recommendations. Members weighed in through small-group discussions, with facilitators, recorders, and reporters ensuring that all voices were heard. Feedback and clarifications were captured for the writing team to incorporate into the draft recommendations document. Consensus was reached on the final visual versions of facilities recommendations and on the academic vision recommendations. 

Looking Ahead

With the drafting process underway, the Vision 2030 recommendations will move into their next stage of review and refinement. The work of the team will serve as the foundation for a forward-thinking roadmap to guide Rdale’s future. The final report and recommendations will be presented at the School Board's work session on Sept. 23.

The Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 initiative is built around three key components: the Vision 2030 Team, a community engagement process, and a districtwide survey. The Vision 2030 Team, made up of community members, students, staff, and district leaders, will collaborate to develop a forward-thinking roadmap for Rdale.
