Vision 2030 Team Works to Narrow Focus

On Aug. 13, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team held its ninth meeting. Building on the July session, members focused on refining potential scenarios for district facilities and advancing academic recommendations that will shape Robbinsdale Area Schools’ (Rdale) future.

Team members reflected on their July discussions, revisiting group recommendations, non-negotiables, and a baseline configuration option. From there, participants worked in new groups to test and hone district size and facility scenarios, ensuring considerations for early childhood, elementary, middle, high school, alternative learning, and adult education were all addressed.

Following a working dinner, the team shifted its focus to academics, teaching and learning, and the student experience. Members reviewed draft recommendations alongside survey data, adding refinements to ensure alignment with community input. The evening concluded with updates on the Portrait of a Graduate and an overview of the recommendation-writing process and timeline.

Meeting Highlights

  • Continued discussions from July on enrollment and facilities footprint
  • Tested configuration options and identified no more than two recommended scenarios
  • Considered impacts across all learning levels, from early childhood through adult education
  • Reviewed draft academic recommendations with community data
  • Updated progress on the Portrait of a Graduate and student success measures

About Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030

The Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 initiative is built around three key components: the Vision 2030 Team, a community engagement process, and a districtwide survey. The Vision 2030 Team, made up of community members, students, staff, and district leaders, will collaborate to develop a forward-thinking roadmap for Rdale. This effort will align with the district’s strategic pillars—Academic Achievement, Student Engagement and Wellness, Collaboration and Partnership, and Staff Investment and Impact—ensuring that future decisions are rooted in the district’s mission to inspire and educate all learners.
