K-12 Youth

UPDATE: March 26, 2020

Dear Robbinsdale Area Schools Families,

We thank our students, families and staff for their understanding, patience and support during this unprecedented time navigating the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We would also like to thank our staff for all of their hard work and dedication in assisting our families in meeting  childcare needs. The health and safety of our students, families, staff and community remains our top priorities. Please carefully read through all items (below) as there have been updates since our previous communication on this topic. In compliance with Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-19 and Executive Order 20-20, school age care will only be open to children (grades K-5) of families working in Critical Sectors beginning Monday, March 30, 2020.

Per guidance provided by the State of Minnesota, “the care for children of these workers is intended for extreme circumstances in which no parent or guardian is available to care for a child due to employment as a critical worker.”

Childcare will be available during normal school hours

There is no cost for childcare services during normal school hours for children of Emergency Workers in Tier 1 and Tier 2.
