Swim Lessons

RCE Swim

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Community Education Swim Program offers high quality, and affordable swim lessons. Each level introduces new skills that reinforce previously learned skills. We offer swim lessons in the fall, spring, winter and summer at both Plymouth Middle School and Sandburg Middle School.

Both pools are kept at 81 degrees during the fall and winter, and 83 degrees during the spring and summer.

COVID-19 Precautions and Update

We are currently offering swim lessons at Sandburg Middle School. Locker rooms will not be available for changing or showering. Staff will be on the deck area and will never be in water. We will still have one lifeguard on the pool deck at all times. Staff will wear appropriate face masks and self evaluate before attending swim lessons.

Parents/guardians must self evaluate before attending swim lessons. We will allow one parent per family on the deck area; if sitting in the deck area, a face mask must be worn at all times. Children will not need to wear a face mask while in the pool water - if they are on the pool deck before or after lessons they will need to put a face mask on.

For participants in swim lessons level 1 and 2, a parent/guardian is required to be in the water with the student during class time.

Winter lesson registration now open

Our class size ranges from 4-6 students per instructor. Registration is now open for winter lessons, which run January 7 to February 25, 2021. The cost is $65 for eight 45-minute lessons ($35 for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch).
