ECFE

ECFE is a program available for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth and kindergarten. The mission of ECFE is to strengthen families through the education and support of  parents so that they can provide the best environment for the healthy growth and development for their child.

Parents and their children participate together in:

• Parent Education, Early Childhood Education, and Parent-Child Interaction Time
• Home Visits
• Early Screening for Children’s Health & Developmental Concerns
• Community Resource Information & Referrals
• Activities where parents and children learn together
• Time for children to learn and interact with one another
• Parent education time with a licensed parent educator

ECFE programs are designed by our parent educators to best meet the needs of parents and families in our community.

Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale with payment plans and fee assistance available upon request. Most classes offer child care for siblings three months through five years of age who are not enrolled in class.

Research confirms that the first three years are a critical period in a child’s development. Parent’s interactions with their children are crucial in shaping the rapidly developing brain of children under three. Parental influence is foundational for social, emotional, and cognitive development related to school readiness and success.
