Transportation Policy Update for Minneapolis Open-Enrollees

Effective for the 2025-26 school year, Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) will no longer provide transportation for families participating in the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program who reside in the Minneapolis zip codes of 55405, 55411, 55412, and parts of 55430 (within Minneapolis Public Schools boundaries).

This change aligns transportation policies across the district and for families residing outside Rdale’s boundaries.

Families are encouraged to continue enrolling in the VPK program, but transportation will need to be arranged independently.

For assistance or questions about the VPK program or this policy change, please contact the Preschool office in our Early Childhood Department at 763-504-5330.
