Youth programming

Robbinsdale Community Education offers a variety of Youth programming for school-age children. Whether you're looking for before- or after-school childcare for your elementary or middle school student, arts and crafts or activity-themed enrichment classes, swim lessons or student leadership opportunities, we've got something for everyone!

Real lives. Real impact. Right here.

Adventure Club is the fee-based childcare program of Robbinsdale Area Schools. The program is available to all students in grades K-5, is conveniently located in each elementary school, offers flexible scheduling options, and is staffed by trained professionals who have a combination of education and experience.

Early Adventures is the full-day care with preschool component of Robbinsdale Area Schools. By combining high quality childcare with the district's preschool curriculum, this program offers an opportunity for students to prepare for Kindergarten in a safe, nurturing setting with adults who are especially trained to work with preschool students.

In addition, The Basement is the school-age before and after-school childcare program of Robbinsdale Area Schools serving middle school students in grades 6-8. Conveniently located in each middle school, The Basement is designed for middle school students as they grow into responsible teens.

These programs offer before and after-school care, and are available on regular school days.

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Community Education Aquatics Program offers high quality, and affordable swim lessons. Each level introduces new skills that reinforce previously learned skills. We offer swim lessons in the fall, spring, winter, and summer at both Plymouth Middle School and Sandburg Middle School.

Youth enrichment

Community Education offers enrichment activities for elementary and middle school students, as well as leadership training and service learning opportunities for students. Offerings include academic classes, health and fitness activities, and youth sports

Youth leadership

The Youth Development Volunteer Program, is a volunteer based program for students entering grades 6-8 and interested in developing leadership skills while working in a hands-on environment.
